I’ve said it before and I’ll probably say it again: your 20s is just a decade-long series of goodbyes. College is a weird, weird time, but post-graduation has definitely been weirder than anything I could have imagined. So many friends have moved away, moved on to bigger and better things. And that’s great, but also saying goodbye is really really sad.
This weekend I said goodbye to another one of my friends, the second one so far to move out of state. My best friend Nicole is getting on a one-way flight to Boston this Saturday, which is so awesome (and I can’t wait to visit her) but also SO SAD.
So Nicole – my best friend, my beautiful sunflower, one of the bravest and kindest and strongest women I know, the Ann Perkins to my Leslie Knope, and probably the only one who actively looks forward to these playlists – this one’s for you.
